On July 1, the IUPUI campus—home to the School of Public Health which houses DIP-IN—rebranded to become Indiana University Indianapolis, marking a historical moment in the life of IU’s urban campus.
As part of the media push for the launch of the new campus, Indiana University featured DIP-IN partners and programs via an in-depth written story and video that put DIP-IN before local and state-level audiences. Through this piece, DIP-IN was shown as a signature project of IU Indianapolis that is deeply engaged in local Indianapolis communities.
We are grateful that IU was able to highlight each component of the DIP-IN project, from our Eskenazi DIP-IN community health workers to our Community Health Improvement Project (CHIP) partners like Friends of Belmont Beach, Aspire House, Elephant Gardens, From the Ground Up Foods, and more.
Thank you to those who agreed to interviews and photos and thank you to all of our steering committee members, staff, and community partners who contribute to DIP-IN each day! In addition to the story that is linked above, we will be further highlighting some of our CHIP partners that were featured in the IU Indianapolis piece in subsequent sections of this newsletter, so make sure to check those out as well.
