Connecting Hearts Abroad ambassadors coming to Indy in fall 2023

connecting hearts abroad meeting
Two Lilly Connecting Hearts Abroad ambassadors and Dr. Lisa Staten (right) attend a Near West community meeting in 2019.

In May 2019, Eli Lilly partnered with DIP-IN to send a Connecting Hearts Abroad (CHA) ambassador team to Indianapolis to work with the DIP-IN communities.

This was the first time Lilly sent a CHA team to the U.S. and the team included global Lilly employees from Brazil, Egypt, South Korea, Mexico, Philippines, and Spain.

While ambassadors through the CHA program frequently travel to countries to help with immediate health needs and screenings, the DIP-IN CHA team developed social marketing campaigns focusing on community engagement and trust; lifestyle modifications; and diabetes for the steering committees.

We are excited that another Lilly CHA team is traveling to Indianapolis to work with the DIP-IN communities September 30–October 14 of this year! This team will work to enhance our DIP-IN communications through videos, photos, written pieces, and updating the project communications plan.

During their time in Indianapolis, these global Lilly employees will also have the opportunity to spend time with community residents and learn more about their communities and the DIP-IN project. Stay tuned for more information.
